How to Get Your Life Organized in 2023

As a busy mom, it can feel overwhelming, especially when you are trying to juggle work and home life. However, getting organized can help make the load feel lighter and more manageable. Here are some tips on how to get organized in 2023 with work and home as a busy mom: Start with a Calendar A calendar can help you stay on top of all your appointments, deadlines, and your children's schedules. You can use a physical planner or an app on your phone to keep everything in one place. Just make sure to update your calendar regularly and keep it with you so that you can refer to it whenever you need to. Create a to-do list A to-do list is a great way to stay organized and prioritize your tasks. First, make a list of everything you need to accomplish each day, and then prioritize the m...

Why You Want a Family Planner App

Family Planner Apps: Family Wall Vs. Cozi Family Organizer You might have read a couple of my former posts about planning and where I mentioned how I use the Family Wall app. Prior to using this app, I used the Cozi Family Organizer app. These types of family planner apps are great for busy parents to help keep track of important things, get reminders, and to even keep tabs on the kiddos (FamilyWall will do this). At first, I set the family up on the Cozi Family Organizer app. When I say family, I mean everyone who has a phone. Grandma was even set up on our calendar since she was the babysitter and needed to know what was going on day to day. I set up our oldest daughter, who is an adult, on the app as well. We used this app for several years. It comes with a variety of d...

Learn How to Meal Plan Easily

Meal Planning saves tons of time.  The age-old question of “What’s for dinner?” or asking everyone “What sounds good for dinner tonight?” will no longer be required.  Basically, with laying out your meal plan, you will only have to ask this question once a week or even once a month, depending on how you want to plan for your meals. I write our meal plan out weekly.  It helps tremendously by also posting my plan on the refrigerator.  This also lets everyone know what I have planned out for the week.  This way, on those late nights that I’m working at my regular job, other members of the house will know what needs to be thawed out, or if they want, they can go ahead and start or even cook the meal!  (Believe it or not, this does happen with the super easy meal nights, so you may want to thro...

How to Plan for the Week Ahead

So often we find that we have so much to do with so little time to get it done, especially for us busy moms!  Sometimes we have some kind of an idea about what our upcoming week will look like (in our heads) while other times, we have nothing that we know of to do, yet somehow, that always seems to be our busiest week yet.  So how can we plan for weeks like these?  We have to have a strategy. Our strategy is planning for the week ahead of time.  I’m a working Mom with multiple jobs, yet I don’t think that I would plan any differently than a SAHM.  In the end, the strategy is the same but our calendars will look different. And, even though you may not know of anything for the upcoming week yet, you still need to have your calendar.  Trust me, something alway...

The 3 Best Organizing Apps I’m Using in 2023

Keeping organized in today’s world is a must and sometimes because of our busy schedules and hectic lifestyles, that can be hard to do.  That’s exactly the reason why I’m absolutely obsessed with organizing apps to help keep our family on track. My husband and I both have full-time jobs and then we own and operate a side business.  Our high school-aged daughter has a job. Our Junior High aged daughter plays multiple sports and constantly has practices, games, or tourneys going on.  We also have a 4-year-old that we have to arrange a babysitter for.  I have two online businesses where I generate sales and have to coordinate shipping.  Life gets SUPER BUSY, but there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to stay on top of everything we do now because of the technol...
